Conferences setup

A conference room is a virtual meeting room people dial into. This page covers setting rooms up; for running a meeting and the moderator controls, see the Conferencing section.

Creating a room

  1. Create a conference room and give it a name and number.
  2. Set a join PIN for participants and, optionally, a separate admin PIN for the moderator (see PINs).
  3. Give people a way in — an internal number to dial, or an inbound route from an outside DID.
How the audio works

VoicerOnePBX mixes everyone together with a "mix-minus-self" mixer — each person hears everyone except their own voice, so there's no echo. It's all done on your Mac; nothing leaves your network.

Entry points & browser join

People can join from a desk phone, from an outside line, or from a browser (video optional — see Conferencing). Rooms can be permanent or created on demand.
