Do Not Disturb
Do Not Disturb (DND) stops your phone ringing when you need to concentrate, are in a meeting, or have stepped away. Calls don't just vanish — they follow the rule you've set, usually straight to voicemail.
Turning it on
- On the phone — most handsets have a DND soft-key or button.
- By code — dial the DND feature code (see Feature Codes).
When it's on, your phone shows a DND indicator and stays quiet until you turn it off.
Your phone and the system stay in sync
Toggle DND on the handset and the PBX knows about it (and vice-versa), so calls are routed correctly no matter where you flipped the switch.
Where DND'd calls go
By default a call to a phone on DND goes to that person's voicemail. If you'd rather it ring a colleague or a team instead, your admin can set that up.
