Configuring Voicemail

Voicemail catches the calls you can't take. Here's how to set up your greeting, secure it with a PIN, and — the best part — have messages emailed to you so you can read them.

First-time setup

  1. Dial your voicemail (your admin will give you the code — often *97 from your own phone).
  2. Set a PIN — a short number that keeps your messages private.
  3. Record your greeting — what callers hear before the beep.

Listening to messages

Dial your voicemail and enter your PIN to hear messages, or read them in the Message Center. Every voicemail is also transcribed to text, so often you can just read it.

Email & text notifications

Turn on notifications so a new voicemail is emailed to you automatically — with the audio attached, the transcript, and a short summary. You can also get a text-message heads-up. Great for when you're away from your desk.

Follow-me

Want calls to chase you to your mobile before hitting voicemail? Ask your admin about Follow-Me, which rings other numbers in sequence.
