Creating Conferences

A conference is a meeting room people dial into — no third-party service, no per-minute meeting fees. This page covers creating rooms and getting people in.

Create a room

  1. Create a conference room with a name and a number to dial.
  2. Set the PINs — a join PIN for participants and, if you want a moderator, a separate admin PIN.
  3. Decide how people reach it: an internal number for staff, and/or an outside DID for external guests.

Ways to join

Desk phone

Dial the room number and enter the PIN.

Outside line

External guests call a DID that lands in the room.

Browser (with video)

Join from a browser with audio and optional video, using WebRTC.

Echo-free by design

Everyone hears everyone except themselves, so there's no echo — and the mixing happens on your Mac, so the meeting audio never leaves your network.
